i'm reposting an excellent post that is very relevant at present with

the high volume of posts. i've been finding lots of posts with this

problem, because i've been using " expand messages " and skimming

through lots of posts once every week or two.

also, on a related topic, perhaps people could be more attentive to

trimming their posts to not include long chunks of text that they are

replying to but are not relevant to their post. there have been a

lot of these long untrimmed posts lately. it is really worthwhile to

take a few seconds to keep the posts clean. thanks!

Subject: Request: Please 'wrap message text' when posting

Hi people,

When you 'Post' on , toward the bottom of the page, there's a

check box called " Wrap message text " which is checked by default.

If you UNcheck this box, your posts become virtually unreadable to

some people. I read the list through my browser, ,

where I go to this group, then to 'Messages', then 'Expand Messages'.

I see 15 posts on one browser page instead of having to click through

each message (and ad). It is a huge timesaver. (If you're unaware of

this feature but want a better explanation, please email me.)

If you UNcheck " wrap message text', your post goes *way, way* out to

the right and one has to scroll *horizontally* to read it -- a real

pain.

I doubt I'm the only one experiencing this issue, and I don't know of

any advantage to unchecking the box.

Thanks for your consideration.

Daphne
