Guest guest
I woke up with a sore-ish lower back so wanted to focus on stretching today, and this practice fit the bill! There were a lot of spinal twist variations, which really felt good. The only 2 poses that required even a little bit of strength were bridge pose and downward facing dog pose, and perhaps the abdominal series. The first section is "Seven Easy Poses" which include and exercise for the eyeballs. Nice! That is a part of the body we forget to exercise, but I hear doing eye exercises does help strengthen them and make for better sight as you age.Next are morning star twists, bridge pose, the abdominal series, leg stretches with the band, some more seated twist series, cobra series (I had the extra bonus modification of doing this with a cat on my back) downdog (where she slid off, then played with the ties dangling down from my hoodie) and lastly, shavasasna, the "magical band" meditation.I still need more, so I'm off to do Yoga for Inflexible People. I need some SERIOUS stretching! Later! Everyone is raving about the all-new beta.
