I done this when I had my treadmill. I got so bored, even watching TV, nothing helped. I eventually sold my treadmill and haven't bought another fitness machine since. It sounds like you got yourself a good workout, that's what counts.

This morning I decided to bring my rebounder upstairs to where the TV is and just bounce for 20 minutes while I watched Good Morning America. I was going to do my Kathy step video but decided I still wasn't feeling 100% and didn't want to push myself that hard. Well, I think I worked about as hard on the rebounder! I jogged, did jumping jacks, bounced and moved my arms in various patterns, etc. By the time I got done I was tired, breathing hard and felt like I'd really worked hard! The only problem is that it was boring. I kept looking at my timer to see when I'd be done. Sometimes I feel that way with workout tapes but it is mostly because the work is hard and I want to know I'm almost done. This was both for that reason and boredom. Don't know how often I'll do that free form but it was good to try it anyway.

I've been hearing a lot about the cardio coach workouts. So how do they keep you from being bored? I am clueless on them. Is it a person that talks to you through head phones? I know I sound really stupid.

I think that is what stops me from seriously looking at treadmills too. Thanks for the reminder and the encouragement !

Good for you ; another workout! I agree that you probably worked just as hard or even harder on your rebounder than you would have with the Kathy Step video.

Thanks Kerry! Tomorrow morning my daughter's kindergarten class is doing a Christmas tea, which includes a performance with handbells! It is not until 10 and the kids are on the bus by 8:10 so I'm hoping to sneak in another workout between the two! Will let you know what happens!

hi nancy - some good music probably will be better to freestyle to,

then just watching the tv.

or you could put the tv onto a music video channel.

That's a good idea, a music video channel. I know when some music came on (for a commercial of all things!) I was much more naturally enthusiastic in my movements! Thanks Carolyn!

Thanks, Darcy! I was pretty slow to start, but it turned out to be a good

workouot (duh!). I'll remember this late night workout next time I screw around

all day without getting it done! ;)
