Guest guest
Hello Nikki, Hopefully you’ll get a better answer than this one from people who know more but fwiw said that Herba naturelle senna is generally deemed safe by DAN! doctors and we are currently giving it to Tom as we couldn’t shift stuff with oxypowder alone. She previously recommended liquid paraffin (to be given with oxypowder) but Tom had an adverse reaction to it. Sara x OXYPOWDER - adverse reactions!!! Hi all, you may remember a little while ago i posted that oxypowder did not work for us (i have the King of Constipation here ;+( ) but since reading of some of you having success with it i decided to have another go, uping the dosage to see if i could get it to work for us. I have really been hoping to find something better to use than the nasty prescription meds our doc and paed love so much and can't understand my dislike of them! Any way to cut a long story short, a higher dose is having the desired effect which is great BUT: along with the bowels moving again we are getting some very nasty side-effects. We seem to have got very aggressive yeast and bacteria symptoms all mixed up together, life is not very good at the moment :+( I'm persuming the reason for this is that the oxypowder has really stirred things up in Gregs gut, unless any of you can think of any other reason and has anyone else had this reaction? and i would really appreciate ideas as to what has happened, what to do, should i ride it out and hope that things will settle down or should i treat aggressively? TIA for anything you think might help, the summer hols are seeming extra long at the moment :+( Nikki -- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Hi Nikki, Because the OxyPowder releases oxygen it could and should kill off a whole load of anaerobic bugs, including yeasts and some bacteria - a lot of the baddies are anaerobic - so that may be the reason you've got what looks like a yeast and bacteria flare-up. Lots of toxins are probably being released as the bugs, which which no doubt been having a field day in the compressed faecal matter in poor Greg's guts, get their come-uppance. That would be my take on it. I haven't seen anything to suggest anything else and I did have a good look on the net before we used it (actually with the specific aim of clearing out bad bugs) so I would sit it out and keep going. Hope things get better soon. It does stir stuff up but using probiotics and antifungal killers will see it through. Alas for us, thinks we need something stronger than natural antifungals like Yeast aid and Biocidin. Whatever bugs has got are certainly hanging around!! Good Luck. Helen

Guest guest
hi nikki im actually doing the oxypowder protocol with my children. so here it is start at a low dose per night say 1 cap 1st day 2 cap 2nd and so on until you reach max dose usually 6 caps with it add senna if required. thanks for the natural senna since sennokot has wheat in. you should see runny poo to cow pat really depends on your child and diet. ofcourse theres going to be regression. remember this child is ill and when you kill of bad bacteria even with the normal child you will see side effects. add natural bug killers and probiotic to have a complete bug killing month week. i use oregano oil and grape fruit extract liq all from mandi mart and cp1 the strongest and recommended as the best by my consultant. i hope this helps nasreen > > > > >>>This is because the Oxypowder is helping shift those bugs IMOH > and IMHE > > Mandi, > I'm in agrrement with you here, but it sure is tough going!!! > > > > Combine the Oxypowder with probiotics and or other killers - I do > it > with > > Sacc Boulardii and chase it with CP1 > > > > Mandi x > > > He does get both of these, 2 sacc B on waking and 2 last thing at > night (when i remember - fairly brain dead at that time) plus 2 CP1s > given separately during the day not necerssarily at the same time as > the Oxy just when i think about it (very unscientific here!), but > not sure these are helping much, do you think i should give more or > something different as well, or give with the oxy? Guest guest
Hi Geir, thanks for this advise, but unfortunately aren't able to do it as it is something we have already tried and is how we found out that our son had problems with Oxalates. Vit C makes/is (never sure which - possibly both) high oxalate. When things have settled down with the bowels i am planning to try supplimentiing B6 with Magnesium (as suggested by - thank you) to see if this helps with the oxalate problem.
