Has anyone used this? I have received a couple of recommendations for it from the US because of 's chronic acute gastroenteritis. I don't see any suppliers here in the UK and I don't know if shipping it over is possible due to temperature control.

>>>We used it when it first came out - ring them up and give them sob story they might send you some - they did me - 10 packets

Its a HUGE amount of powder to get in a kid, Sam was tiny then, I beleive there may be corn starch - or there used to be so check that first.

It has to be shppped overnight on lots of ice and isn't really any good if it melts as I recall.

I like CP1 from Custom probiotocs - guarenteed to have 25 bill CFU's after being at room temp for 3 weeks on testing - I have copy of lastest analysis - when there were still 48 bill CFU's

HTH - going from memory

Hi Darla

I use it for Joe. It was recommended when we looked at the low

oxalates diet. I bought one pack of 10 sachets from a distributor in

Holland (or maybe Belgium). I can look out the details for you if you

would like them. I had to order over the phone if I remember rightly.

I only use a tiny fraction of the recommended dose, as per the low

oxalates group recommendations. It seems to suit him though I havent

tested since we started using it. I will be ordering more soon as my

pack has an August use by date. I think it is strong stuff hence we

only use a tiny amount.

My sob storying is hopeless. Honestly, it is. I am soooo baaaaad at soliciting for free stuff or money raising. If I did a sponsored walk or something the only person I'd ask to sponsor me would be my hubby. I'm just constitutionally incapable. I even felt bad for asking the bloody GP for a prescription for 's much needed milk. I've got to get over myself, really I do. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Yes, there is corn starch. As of yet I don't see a particular reaction to corn. Yet.

The VSL says 450 billion CFU's per sachet. I'm assuming the sachets are quite voluminous?

I'm noticing that is getting somewhat constipated on the Klaire Ther-Biotics 1 capsule per day and the Bio-Kult 1 capsule per day. I've no idea how potent the Bio-Kult is as the stupid bottle measures it per gram of powder. So maybe I don't need the VSL yet. I've got to stick it out with the Klaire for a while and see if his stools normalise (whatever that is) over the next few days.

The Klaire is 25 bill CFU's so the CP1 is obviously more potent. Is there a difference in the potentcy versus giving less potent at higher doses? (I think I'm making this more complicated than it is, no?)

Hi ,

Can you let me know where you order it from? I'd really appreciate it. I'll tuck it away for later. How long does a pack last you and how old/big is your little one?

Thanks so much!

Freeze dried bacteria should in theory re-constitute to fullpotency (or maybe they factor in the die off) so shouldnt need to be refrigerated so maybe thats why... Some organisms dont freeze dry well so maybe thats why they come cool, just my tuppence worth lovely.

must try this again wason my to do list when we were seriously LODing, but have been reading this LOD stuff again and its so sensible and beckys peeing is so much better so now thinking mmmmm well maybe it did work...

stable.

Please let me know by e-mail if you want to order and how much you

kind to mention also your shipping address and phone number.

Joe is a very big 7 year old. We use a tiny amount, a sprinkling in

his water every morning. One sachet lasts about a month. Maybe I'm

not using enough. I have lots left over which are going to go out

of date. They are stamped Aug 2006 but I don't know whether you have

to use by beginning or end of August. If you want to try it I can

post you a sachet? Send me your address off list if this is of use

to you.

Joe has a problem with corn but can tolerate this, I think because

it is in such small amounts.
