Guest guest
Carolyn I did recognize the accent and she *is* sweet :-) It's just not what I was expecting so it had me laughing! That is HYSTERICAL about promoting her cosmetic line, because I was thinking her makeup looked overdone! Her long intro to the workout is even longer than Cameron Shayne's is for Budokon! I look forward to doing this workout sometime just because it's so unique. But she is up there with Callan and Fabio as instructors in my books! *L* You are always very informative and thanks for helping me out (HMO) with the acronyms! Guest guest
When I was in Seattle in the summer with my youngest DD some of her friends and even their parents commented on my "accent" which I think was funny as I don't think I have one at all. Is this workout chaptered so you can skip the long intro? Kerry wrote: Carolyn I did recognize the accent and she *is* sweet :-) It's just not what I was expecting so it had me laughing! Which workout has the > unweighted arm work? she works the legs without weights as well. her method is an interesting fusion of resistance and flexibility. ballet and pilates type exercises, which miranda uses visualization to accomplish (ex. pushing a heavy object up, pulling on a large elastic band), and tai chi. check your library system there kerry, since she is a canuck the library might have some of her workouts. specifically, she has a workout on vhs called 'arms & abs' which made me burn. on dvd that workout is doubled up with her 'legs & butt' workout for a total of 60 mins.... i need to use 1-1.5 pd ankle weights for the leg/butt workout though. i like to use miranda's workouts for recovery or if im getting over a cold ... when i just want a light workout that day for whatever reason. all of her workouts are filmed outside... the older ones are done in a garden in quebec (and here her french-canadian accent is much stronger) ... the newer ones are done on the beach in mexico. again cueing isnt her strong suit but she makes up for it with her visualizations and by being a genuinely nice and caring person. besides 'athletes intense stretch' and 'arms/abs', 'legs/butt', i also have her '30 minute express workouts' and her 'full body workout I' along with 'full body workout II'. oh and the dvd which she did with shelley -- 'cardio stretch'. most of these, if not all (i cant remember exactly), include arm work. she did a tv show on PBS for some time too, i think. :*carolyn. Guest guest
I don't remember seeing these in our library. I'll keep watching for them though as we do get new stuff in from time to time.
