Guest guest
Yep they could, but that would mean a loss of big business. Sugar is in just about everything, even vegetable can goods. The doctors make money after " sugar addicts " exhibit physical symptoms, diet companies make money, ect ect everyone profits. I just said to hell with it, and left the sugar alone. If I can go years avoding certain fruits and veggies, I certainly can live without sugar. > It seems to be that if chemists can create something for alcoholics and coke addicts which blocks the receptor sites for those substances, that surely something could be brought forth to do the same for sugar....so we could enjoy it and put it down, take it or leave it .........so it would not trigger the more, more, more response. > > But you know what? I'll bet any such discovery or invention would be surpressed b/k the food industry COUNTS on our addiction to sell more food. Right? Isn't that at least part of the reason sugar is in EVERYTHING, to get us hooked and then to pander to our demand for everything to taste sweet so we can eat it. crumb!!!! > gina > > > > Join the Spiritual Cinema Circle and > receive monthly international movies > with themes for your heart and soul > http://www.spiritualcinemacircle.com/?af=37647 > > HABER ACUPUNCTURE > Haber, L.Ac., DNBAO > 936 E. Guest guest
It's a conspiracy I tell you! I have for all of one day in the last 1 1/2 years been sugar free. That means white flour and white rice free too. The food companies are getting more and more clever as consumers become more and more aware of the evils of sugar. Now, when you look at the food labels, you see dextrose, sucrose, etc.....SUGAR!!! Some famous multi vitamins have sugar in them. What???!!! Why on earth would your multi vitamin need sugar added.......(conspiracy)!! Last June, we decided to celebrate and have a milk shake one evening. It did not taste as good as I had imagined in my mind. I actually felt drugged. I was sick for days after and went through the withdrawl symptoms again. Once you take the junk out of your diet, if you put it back in, your body will reject it. Sugar leeches vitmains out of your system. If you just ate sugar and drank water for your meals, you would actually starve to death. So we have a substance that weakens you and makes you dependent, resulting in diabetes or other health ailments........which sends you to the doctors for treatment....and because it is addictive....sends you to the store for more sugar.......which equals big money for businesses and the health industry........(conspiracy)!!!! >From: ne182105 <no_reply > >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Sugar Addicts >Date: Tue, 20 Sep 2005 18:00:52 -0000 > >Yep they could, but that would mean a loss of big business. Guest guest
I knew a young, overweight woman years ago who bought frozen vegetables in a butter sauce, rinsed the butter sauce off, and then added SUGAR to the cooking water!!! Her mom had taught her that the frozen vegs with butter were a better quality than the plain frozen vegs.... and had always added sugar to the vegs to be sure the kids ate them. She had never eaten a raw cucumber, or fresh vegs.... My dad was a quasi-vegetarian. I didn't realize there were folks out there who were so.... uninformed. THis was in the late 1970's, early 80's n Cw-W4-D5 At 06:53 AM 9/23/2005, you wrote: ><SNIP> So we have a substance that weakens you and >makes you dependent, resulting in diabetes or other health >ailments........which sends you to the doctors for treatment....and because >it is addictive....sends you to the store for more sugar.......which equals >big money for businesses and the health industry........(conspiracy)!!!!<SNIP>
Guest guest
Speak the truth . I feel the same way. Lactose is the sugar in milk, so that's why you probably felt drugged after drinking it. I used to live for those frosties from 's, and it would take me days to feel half way normal. I avoid processed foods and most white foods: sugar, dairy, table salt, ect. If you really have the urge for milk, try lactaid milk. It has no lactose in it, and taste exactly like regular milk. Also, because the lactose is removed, the milk lasts much longer in the fridge. I've also been wondering about vitamins. Do you take any? If so, what brand do you take? I'm looking for one without iron, but still undecided if I want to take them long term. I know many say the body definitely needs vitamins because as you get older it's harder to get all the nutrients you need, but if I eat balanced meals, and don't notice any problems with energy ect, I may decide not to continue with vitamins. > > > It seems to be that if chemists can create something for > >alcoholics and coke addicts which blocks the receptor sites for > >those substances, that surely something could be brought forth to do > >the same for sugar....so we could enjoy it and put it down, take it > >or leave it .........so it would not trigger the more, more, more > >response. > > > > > > But you know what? Guest guest
Oh boy, if parents don't know they don't know, and the children suffer for it. > ><SNIP> So we have a substance that weakens you and > >makes you dependent, resulting in diabetes or other health > >ailments........which sends you to the doctors for treatment....and because > >it is addictive....sends you to the store for more sugar.......which equals > >big money for businesses and the health industry........
