Guest guest
Hi , Judging from the many posts from members of this group living outside the US bemoaning the difficulty of obtaining certain EOs, perfume grade alcohol, bottles etc. in their home country, I would suggest that everything you need to study Natural Perfume is available to you from Ohio. We are so lucky to have many knowledgeable and tested suppliers (see the Files)to work with, not to mention the wealth of information in the Archives on tincturing and/or distilling your own botanical essences. The only thing I've ever ordered directly from overseas was ambergris tincture because I didn't happen to have a lump of aged ambergris to tincture myself. I guess if someone volunteered to bring me 10 ml of French tuberose I wouldn't turn it down though I suspect the big perfume companies buy up the miniscule supply in advance every year. Perfume strip holders are generally given to mainstream perfumers by those same big companies so you'll have to be creative. I once pinched alligator clips onto the ends of dowels which I then placed into the holes of a ceramic toothbrush holder. Not pretty but it worked. I love France too, but vis a vis Natural Perfume, it's those things your friend CAN'T bring you, like a visit to the Perfume Museum in Grasse or the vision of acres of lavender that are uniquely French. So settle for a beret and and enjoy the fragrant journey ahead. Cheers, Tyler Parfums Solarose
