Greetings All,

I hope that everyone enjoyed the Holiday weekend!!! For those of

you not in the US, I hope you had a nice regular weekend!!!! Back to

the grind on Monday, all too soon!!! LOL!!!!

I have been researching, and have not found any really good

sources for the animal substances listed above. I wanted your advice

about using them? I do not in any way want to contribute to the

mistreatment of animals etc. What do you use in natural perfumes, do

you use synthetics, or is there a good source of the animal scents

that is not cruel to animals? I know Ambergris is not necessarily

harmful to the whales, but the others all seem to hurt the animals. I

would prefer to buy good tinctures rather than the raw materials, and

make them myself. I don't think I could handle playing around with

glands etc. As well as your advice, I need some good sources, or good

substitutes?

I suppose I could make formulas and disregard the animal scents,

but so many of the old formulas call for them, and being that I am

just learning, I want to know the differences if possible? Ambergris

would be the top amoung them, then musk. The others I could probably

do without unless you think otherwise?

Does anyone have suggestions on the best, and least expensive

essential oil sources? The differencs in cost are radical, and

although I have looked around alot, I feel I am still missing some?

Thanks so much in advance!!!!

Rich
