Guest guest
but I loved the 12 year old wild yam root... Alwyn L'hoir Blue Moon Perfume wowee zowie Alwyn.... what does that smell like?Have you used it in anything? Every good wish, Janita Well, I tried to describe this earlier, it's very earthy, it has notes of oolong, cedar, with a faint honey sweetness for a top note... but it is essentially wild yam, a very zen thing. It is very grounding and warm, and hits with a good persistent heart note. I have used it in my mouth! <grin> I cured it in a little white wine for an aperatif, and immediately fell in love with both the taste and smell. I left it to overwinter and grow one more year, and I plan to tincture a quantity in the spring and fall next year. I think that the spring root will be sweeter, and the fall more bitter, but I could be wrong, we'll see. I'll post it when it's ripe... I planted this about 12 years ago for my menopausal years...it's about time for harvest.
