What is the best and or quickist excersize for the waist/abs. I have

that post baby pooch. The child is now 13 years old so I thought it

might be time to start loosing it. I will try 40 in 2006 so I have a

mission. I would like to fit into single digit clothing !! I started

walking last week and wacthing the diet. No more cookies and milk

before bed, this was a big weakness. Please send any and all ideas for

a new BFL.

Thanks Connie

Connie,

We are in the same boat! I will turn 40 in 2006 and refuse to do it in

the shape I am in now. My oldest is 12, so I too have the long term pouch!

Best wishes with your transformation. Know that you aren't alone!

I might be in the minority, but I'm of the opinion that if your abs

aren't sore the next day, you're wasting your time. I think you should

wreck your abs and let them fully recover just like any other muscle

group.

Abs Every Day?

I saw a magazine article a couple of months ago where they asked all

the top fitness competitors how often they worked their abs. These are

women with absolutely ripped mid-sections, full six-packs, no fat at

all on their abs. None of them worked their abs more than three times

a week and most of them only hit them once or twice, HARD.

If you want more of a challenge than the BFL workouts, you can do the

Ab Boot Camp routine three times a week on cardio days.

Or you can crunch away every day. I understand that not everybody will

agree on this one. :-)
