I found a website that describes something called Tagetes lucida, which sounds like it may be your plant: http://tinyurl.com/2p22xe It sounds like in moderation, it is a safe and in fact very useful herb. However, I also found websites that claim that in high doses, it can be psychoactive/mildly hallucinogenic. Hopefully our own Tisserand can comment. Cheers!
