how does one " work " with tartness? i'll try the apple thing. and also the

I don't have my book upstairs, but isn't the oatmeal recipe 2 T whey OR 2 T

yogurt? I know when I've made it with yogurt it's not as sour as made with

whey. (But then we like the tartness, so what I considered not too sour

might still be more sour than you'd like.)

One recipe I've made before has grated apple stirred in at the end of

cooking, but if maple syrup didn't help you, the apple probably won't

either. Have you tried working with the tartness? A favorite with my kids

is to add maple syrup to the oatmeal, top with blueberries and poor lots of

cream over it all. Nice variety of flavors in that. : )
