Guest guest Posted June 18, 2006 Report Share Posted June 18, 2006 hello all - my name is and eventually I have managed to get this thing sorted. It's only taken months/years... well I am here now. I have a beautiful daughter, - who is 19 years old. She communicates via facilitated communication (FC) and is a student at university, with lots of excellent support!! We have struggled with epilepsy for 16+ years, and then discovered special diets etc. they have helped enormously in controlling the seizures. Last year we stumpled upon the autism answers forum and Dr. Amy Yasko protocol and embarked upon that route. We have just received her genetic results through and a big book to go with it! But this felt really lonely doing this protocol on our own. The we found treating autism - thank you thank you ... and all the resources that went along with and we were so pleased to find Muscroft here in the north west. So we have been doing the DAN thing since the beginning of the year. So far so good.... long way to go, but we are getting there. Would be delighted to speak or email any of you... parents are by far the very best resource we all have. I am still very new to all this, so please bear with me, I do love to share what - has taught me and continues to teach me.
