More laughing. There's an old proverb that says: " A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. " I find it so true for myself. I wonder sometimes if the 2 years I laid in bed getting sadder and more hopeless was really instrumental in increasing symptom load and the loss of 2 1/2 " in height. Makes one think. On the fibromyalgiacured list today, a woman and 3 of her 6 children have been fighting fibro. The way she tells their story, they don't seem the like the lay down and die types, as they went after answers like ducks on a bug, and have achieved remarkable recovery and accomplishments. Does anyone know of any studies on the phenomenon of laughing helping one to heal?
