Guest guest
Betsy, I have been working on my own hormonal issues for quite some time, and although eating a high fat diet has remedied some of them, nutrition solutions are certainly more slow going and cannot replace the needed hormones for pregnancy. I am also low in progesterone. I am not presently trying to get pregnant, so I am trying to increase my hormone levels my eating more fat and rejeuvenating my adrenals. But I think there just may be a point at which taking herbal forms of hormones is needed. I have no advice for what your friend should take hormonally while pregnant, but there are progesterone creams (not drugs) that can be a solution to any problems she has after the baby. Yes, the best advice you can offer her at this point is to eat a healthy WAP diet with lots of fat for her and the baby (including cod liver oil).
