Dave,

The inclusion of pruritis--in other words, anal itching--along with the

rash-like skin symptoms makes me wonder if a fungal infection is involved,

such as Candida albicans overgrowth. Have you tried Tea Tree oil, Olive Leaf

extract, intestinal flora, Colloidal Silver?

Hi Nina,

Of the products you suggest, I have tried only the colloidal silver.

Is the tea tree oil for external use only, or is it taken internally?

I have long suspected that I might have a candida overgrowth, and have

briefly tried taking Jarro-Dophilus, but I seemed to have a " bad' reaction

to it. Felt " funny " and mind was " fuzzy " which was what I was attempting

to eliminate. Maybe this reaction was a good sign and I should have

stayed with it?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Dave

Dave,

In looking through my mail, I noticed that I never answered you. I

apologize.

Tea Tree oil can be taken internally as long as it is produced in such a way

that it is food grade. This means processed without petroleum solvents

(grain alcohol solvent is okay) or other chemicals that are incompatible

with the human body. I have never taken Olive Leaf extract, but many people

I know really value its effectiveness.

I am not familiar with the particular brand of intestinal flora you mention.

There are only a few reasons I can think of why you might feel fuzzy after

ingesting it: either it was prepared with dairy, to which you are having an

allergic reaction; it contains something else in it to which you are

reacting badly; or the candida are being crowded out and killed (due to a

re-establishment of healthy intestinal flora, which is what you want to

happen), and the die-off is making you feel worse before you feel better

(which often happens). You may want to try it for a couple of weeks and see

if you feel better by the end of that time period.

I hope this is helpful.
