First an enema to clear bowels and then a coffee enema to relieve liver. I was very ill 1995- 1997 and found this to be one thing that helped me. I experienced fatigue so badly that just the thought of getting out of bed to go the the bathroom was over whelming. But when I felt myself having those detox feelings, I jumped right into action. I had suffered for a good while before someone gave me the tapes. Wish there was an answer that wasn't so involved but I haven't found it yet and I do take lots of enzymes. Guest guest
I recently thought the same thing! I was doing some fairly aggressive detox and really upped my intake of enzymes. I actually felt alot worse! I don't know exactly how it all relates but the increased enzyme intake actually seemed to shut down my bowel. not the desired or expected outcome! http://www.getleaner.com/enzymedica.html Another interesting topic surrounding detox is raised by Dr. Cheney. I have cfs .... as i've noticed many others have mentioned having ..... and found this paragraph in an article written by Dr.Cheney. Dr Cheney on Glutathine.. " Glutathione deficiency has two major implications: detox failure and viral/microbial activation. Glutathione plays a major role in detoxification pathways. This deficiency impairs the body's ability to get rid of toxins, whether environmental or by-products of cellular metabolism. CFS patients slowly become toxic, storing away poisons in fatty tissue, muscles, organs and the brain. This cellular detox failure can make CFS patients " canaries to their environment " . Detox programs that have been successful in other conditions can actually put some CFS patients in the hospital if their glutathione deficiency is not first addressed. " I think this detox failure can also extend to many with a compromised immune function regardless of the specific illness. Possibly another piece of the puzzle. Would enjoy reading any other info you could provide. in health,. ron

Guest guest
Glutathione is necessary for virtually every molecule detoxed by the liver. NAC (n-acetyl-cysteine) is the most potent precursor, as it gets more past the BBB than other sources. jim > Another interesting topic surrounding detox is raised by Dr. Cheney. Guest guest
Jim, Ok, sounds like I need glutathione, but, is NAC part of the glutathione, or something seperate, and what is BBB?
