One hint on bacon: I used to fry mine. Makes a mess and takes

forever, esp. if you like it crispy. THEN I discovered:

put your bacon on the broiler tray. Bake in the oven at 350

or so, til it is done as you like it. Place it in a bag or

container in the freezer, and take them out as needed. You

just warm them slightly in the toaster oven or with your

frying eggs and they are done! I cook 1-2 lbs of bacon at

a time.

I cool the fat from the bacon, freeze it, then chop it into

blocks and keep it handy for frying breakfast.

By " broiler tray " i mean that pan with slots that usually

comes with your oven. It is really good for fatty stuff --

the fat goes below and doesn't catch on fire.
