Hi Natasa,

As someone who had gut problems, I can totally relate to this.

I also have a short video where an adult who had excema every day

for 49 years (before starting the diet) explains in great detail how

she felt when she ate offending foods. It's a good video. Feel

free to share it.

She hasn’t

taken into consideration all the chemical additives in the products she has

eaten – rather than just the wheat. The reason I mention this is because at the moment we are trialling freshly

home milled wheat after discovering that even organic flours have additives in

of synthetic supplements because of the bleaching process to see what

difference it makes or not ………..

Just a thought

OT: How the GFCF infraction really " feels " ...

fowarded from

autismanswer.com:

" How do I explain this one.....

My son has been GFCF for over 4 years now, and in the last months I have

been getting the whole house GFCF SCD.

This weekend I went grocery shopping and I did something I have not done

in maybe 3 months, I bought a loaf of English Muffin Bread (my fav.), a

bag of oyster crackers for my tomato soup and a box of Frosted Mini

Wheats. It was hard to cross that line, I am so used to GFCF and

organic, or at least all natural.

Now I am paying the price and I have a whole new understanding of what

my little boy had been going through, and still does when there is an

infraction. Here is what I am feeling, remember, I have been GFCF (about

90 % for 3+ months, and prior to that about 70 % I would guesstimate)

My skin hurts on the inside. It feels like it is burning inside.

My nerves are shaking.

I am lightheaded and dizzy, so dizzy that I had to lay down and then the

room started to spin.

Nausea.

My muscles ache and my bones hurt.

My skin is hypersensitive, I cant stand the feel of my sweater, my

socks, or even the feel of the desk under my arm right now.

I am sweating even though I feel cold.

I have trouble talking, I have trouble with word recall and jumble my

words, i.e., " The delicious was the bread. "

And worst of all, my stomach feels like it has rocks in it and I have

cramps that remind me of childbirth!

OK, I am going to the store tomorrow and buying myself a box of GFCF

cereal, GFCF crackers, and a loaf of Kinnickinick bread!!!!

I can't get over how much pain I am in, no wonder my sweet little angel

never slept before, was aggressive and moody, and cried " for no

reason " !

I just had to let you all know about this, it has enlightened me beyond

belief. The worst part is, is that this is only a small fraction of what

he was going through.

I will honestly admit that I do not know as much about the the GFCF diet as I should and I am not participating in it....but when I read how badly people feel when they go off this diet it makes me wonder if total exclusion of these offending products is such a good thing. Do you feel this badly before you ever begin this diet and this is a regression back to baseline or is the regression worse once you start and go off of it......Just wondering.
