I know Dr Sinclair and have been in discussions with him for several

years now. He is a retired but very well respected paediatrician and

actually started looking into autism following a chance meeting with me

some years back at The Doctors Laboratory when Dr Waagi there showed him

some of my son's pathology reports which showed highly elevated TNF alpha.

I forget all the details but whilst investigating why this might be he

came across another child who was taking an over the counter remedy for

inflammatory issues (I think) and it seemed to make a big difference. He

has subsequently analysed this product and has found it to regulate

fatty acids within this child and now several others. He is only

researching at this stage and has a small number of children in his

study, but will not reveal anything about the product and how it works

until he feels he has sufficient clinical evidence to suggest it does

work. To date I think he has been working with less than 10 families.

The study involves taking base line bloods, two lots initially, which he

then analyses, then I think you take the drug and he retests blood at 8

weekly intervals. It is very much in the early stages and to my

knowledge none of the children in the study are " gut " children. We took

some blood for him when Jack last had a draw for RBC mins but the

Doctors Laboratory cocked up (not for the first time) and lost some of

it so the full fatty acid profile couldn't be done, so we know have to

wait till his next draw is due for CBC, RBC etc..

If anyone is interested to look at this then please let me know and I

can pass your details on to him. For my part I feel this is unlikely to

make any difference to my Jack as he is definitely an anomaly amongst

the ASD population but we have kept in touch due to Dr Sinclair's desire

to help children like him. He has no website or email address to my

knowledge.
