Regarding the recent discussion...hope this isn't redundant but

I didn't see it. It's about Borrelogen, which is used to treat

Lyme. ~^^V^^~

>

>Frequently Asked Questions About Borrelogen

>

>What is Borrelogen?

>

>Borrelogen is a nutraceutical formula of botanicals (herbs) that seems to

>be an antigen releasing agent for Borrelia burgdorferi, Babesia microti,

>and Ehrlichia.

>

>Will Borrelogen treat Babesia (Babesiosis), or Ehrlichia (Ehrlichiosis)?

>

>It does not " treat " the bacteria directly, or it would be classified as a

>prescription drug; but people with those problems have responded well with

>Borrelogen.

>

>What does Borrelogen mean?

>

>The bacteria that causes Lyme is called " Borrelia Burgdorferi " . So,

> " Borrel-ogen " means - " there is life after infection with Lyme Disease (LD). "

>

>How long will I need to take Borrelogen?

>

>Most people should take it every day, without fail, for eight weeks and be

>able to see a change in immune system functions. Since the degree of

>illness is different for everyone, the length of time is not defined in

>general terms. Because of the nature of these illnesses, take BorrelogenTM

>for at least eight weeks before deciding if it has had any effect. Once you

>see that its benefits are being received, seek your health care

>practitioners counsel on continuing.

>

>How long does one bottle of Borrelogen last?

>

>A 4oz bottle, taken one dropper, three times per day, should last 4 weeks.

>The recommended dosage is one dropper three times per day for the first

>two-four weeks, then increase the dosage to two droppers, three times per

>day for two- four weeks, and continue in this cycle.

>

>How much Borrelogen should I take?

>

>If your symptoms are severe, acute, or have been around for a long time

>with no relief, then you would PROBABLY do better on 2 droppers three times

>per day. Sublingual (taken under the tongue) is best.

>

>When is the best time to take Borrelogen?

>

>Take Borrelogen three times per day between meals.

>

>What kind of research have you done?

>

>Phase one clinical testing was done on over 100 Lyme patients.

>

>Phase two: to be completed May 1999

>

>Are there any side effects when taking Borrelogen?

>

>There are no reported side effects; however, due to the bacterial die-off

>some people feel worse before they start feeling better.

>

>How soon should I see relief?

>

>Everyone has a unique body and is infected differently. Some people respond

>slowly, some respond immediately. Some patients have no relief for a couple

>of weeks then immediately get better, and some actually become worse before

>they get better.

>

>Should I discontinue the use of antibiotics if I use Borrelogen?

>

>Only your MD can advise you concerning prescription medicines; however, the

>vast majority of people in our clinical study used only Borrelogen with

>very good results. Due to the comprehensive formulation of Borrelogen, it

>should not cause problems if taken with the antibiotics. The only people

>our doctors found who still needed the antibiotics were those few people

>who have had their spleen surgically removed.

>

>Will Borrelogen protect me from getting Lyme disease?

>

>No studies have indicated any conferred protection from Lyme.

>

>Can you use Borrelogen in conjunction with a LUAT (Lyme Urine Antigen Test)?

>

>Many doctors believe that Borrelogen yields higher LUAT scores than

>anything else they use.

>

>How many days should I use Borrelogen before starting urine collection for

>a LUAT?

>

>Only your doctor can order a LUAT. If he wants to try using our Borrelogen,

>the urine collection for the LUAT should start after you have been taking

>Borrelogen for 7 days.

>

>Does Borrelogen kill the Lyme bacteria (Borrelia Burgdorferi), Babesia

>Microti, and Ehrlichia?

>

>No! The doctors that developed Borrelogen believe that these bacteria are

>what are known as " Stealth Bacteria " . If you draw blood and have a CBC

>(Complete Blood Count) performed on almost all people infected with these

>bacteria, there will be no indication of any bacterial infection.

>Borrelogen is thought to be an antigen releasing factor.

>

>Does Borrelogen work like an antibiotic?

>

>No! This is a superior mode of action compared to antibiotics since

>Borrelogen allows the infected person's immune system to function instead

>of " suppressing " the immune system the way antibiotics do. Antibiotics

>attempt to attack the bacteria directly, and this always weakens the immune

>system which predisposes one to other infections because of the weakened

>immune system.

>

>Will Borrelogen complicate any of my other medicines, like my anti-

>depressants, heart medicine, etc...?

>

>Because every person is completely unique in every way, there is no way to

>be sure that Borrelogen will not aggravate medicines you are presently

>taking. There have been no reported complications with any medicines; but

>if you are concerned, consult your physician before trying Borrelogen.

>

>Can I take Borrelogen if I am pregnant?

>

>Consult your physician if you are pregnant. These bacteria will cross the

>placenta, possibly causing premature birth, birth defects, and

>miscarriages. If you are infected your doctor will want to use something.

>We only know of a few pregnant women used Borrelogen while pregnant, and

>none reported any problems. Consult your healthcare provider.
