Gretchen,

Do you know of any LEGITIMATE work at home jobs???!!! I can't afford not to work

and while at work I am at a cubicle in a call center. They do not even want you

standing at your desk because it apparently distracts others in the center.

Anyway, I am getting to the point where my legs fall asleep if I am sitting too

long and I feel like c--p on the days I work (which is most of the days of the

week). When I am home I am perfectly fine since I can get up whenever I want

and rest whenever I want. Please respond.

Thanks,

Dawn T

anne,

You might talk to your employer about doing some work at home, or consider

part-time work so you can better manage your CMT. Talk to your doctor about this

first. Perhaps your employer can make adjustments for you at work. You didn't

say what you do, so I don't know if your job involves alot of

walking/standing/sitting long hours, etc.

As for SSDI yes, it is a very involved process involving current medical

records, employment history, what you can/cannot do, etc. So many more people

have tied up the applications due to the economy, which just makes the backlog

worse. (some States are worse than others)

I understand you do not wish to take pain meds. I don't know the nature of your

pain, but Vitamin E has proved to help in neuropathic pain. You may want to look

in our Files for vitamins/supplements or try physical therapy/massage.
