Guest guest
CMT is not a predictable disorder. This is some of my family history. CMT was explained to me like this. You can be so slightly hard of hearing they don't even notice. Then say you have a child that is completely deaf. The doctors tell you that your child is deaf and it is genetic. Your saying but I am not DEAF how can it be genetic? Then the doctor checks your hearing and you have a tiny bit of hearing loss so slight that you never even noticed. My Dad had high arches and was told that he may have had CMT. He never showed any weakness or noticed any. He was a pilot , played soft ball and worked as a Malibu sheriff .. Past all his physicals, fought in a war and was pretty freakin strong all his life. I wonder how many people have CMT and never notice?
