Our doctor Saul Bernstein of Van Nuys CA, Looks at Adam as weak as he is, smiles at me and says 'he is doing good.' He is doing good for a child with CMT as severe as he is he amazes me. Nice to hear encouraging words.
Guest guest
My husband was supposed to be in a wheel chair by age 21 yrs. He is now 21 years and 5 months old. He has his pains in his legs, hips, knees from time to time, and has tremors. But none keep him from doing what he loves taking long walks (usually 3 to 5 miles, we walk almost everywhere), running after our children, driving ,and swimming. Well Happy Holidays everyone!!!!!! Guest guest
This is true. I have CMT Type X, the second most common Type after CMT 1A. When my daughters were young (twins) they were DNA tested. They tested positive - no surprize there - but for their whole life (they are in their mid-20's now) they have been asymtomatic - meaning they show NO symptoms. I think my sister is CMT free only because all 7 of her kids seem fine.
