Guest guest
Hello everyone! I am new to the board. I am a single mom of an 8 year old son who has a DX of autism, MR, speech delay, ADHD. Logan had his DX at the age of 2, so I have been dealing with issues associated with the autism and other delays for 6 years. I feel I have done a fairly good job up until this point! I worked very hard with Logan to get him semi-potty trained and it worked for a while. Logan was peeing in the potty consistently, but never used the potty for a bowel movement. Now, Logan is back to peeing his pants and still refuses to use the potty for a bowel movement. When I ask him where he is suppose to pee or poop, he says " in the toilet " - so he has the concept down and has the understanding of what to do and where to do it. I need HELP! Logan is 8 years old, has the concept down and KNOWS when he has to go - what do I do now???????? He NEEDS to be completely trained! why do we keep going back to peeing our pants and having to train all over again???? Any ideas??
