CMT triggered by medication?

I was looking at information on Helios braces and ran across this story on

the internet describing how someone's CMT was " triggered " by taking a

certain medication. Has anyone ever heard of this before? My understanding

was that if you had the gene, you had CMT, but it may vary in severity and

symptom presentation. I know some medications can make symptoms worse,

hence the list of contraindicated medications published by the CMTA. But, I

have never heard that having or not having CMT could be " triggered " by

medications. I'd be interested in hearing other's thoughts.
