This behaviour went on for years. The diet solved this within weeks. We only ever have a problem when gets gluten or cassein. In fact, now that we are using digestive enzymes I don't think the odd infraction causes us much if any problems. We are soy and now sugar free but we had already solved the sleep problems when we took these out. Guest guest
Hi Eva, Where abouts are you in the UK? Have you looked at www.treatingautism.co.uk You will find loads of information on every aspect of biomedical interventions. My son will be 12 in August. He was non verbal, and the severe end of the spectrum. Email me either on or off line, more than happy to chat about the things that work for us, or anything else! As it isa hormone, I am quite worried.Studies shows lack of melatonin production with ASD kids, and that may be a reason for him not sleeping, so give it, like you give Insulin to a diabetic. 5HTP is safer but I read the label that it shouldn't be given withother sleeping aids. Does this mean that I should not give at the same time with melatonin ?- It is an amino acid, precursor to brain calming transmittor, just try it.. On top of that, I didn't find LDN as sleeping aids, instead it isfor immune system.Yes but it might also have a calming efect, althoug he might have got it for other isssues, that makes good sleep indirectly. LDN is a promising way of attacking Autism. Now I am confused..Has anyone had an experience in using those stuff ? Appreciate for your information or any advice, as my DD's sleep isnow worsen.Don't know if this is an effect of jet lag, it is the fifth daysince we returned and so far she only sleep 5 hours at night!! Help please.. tanks, TettyI would give more Melatonin as a trial. And inositol and - or Epsom salt bath if he not already gets that. And it might be worth trying TNS or alpha stimulator. But of course NO MILK when he wakens up during the night....!Geir Flatabø
