Hi all, My JJ is 19 now and "FULL" of hormones!!!!!!!! (I hope you know what I mean). He is always trying to "rub" against something (Or me)!! Does anyone know how to help with this?? I think it has also (Hormones) been what has made him have a lot of agression. Thanks for any help. They do the best job of it since they print the limits and where the numbers should be. Thimerasol can mess up hormones and too much testosterone can be a problem in autism. That could be why the ratio of girls to boys is so low. Estrogen is protective and helps detoxify. My daughter is severe and showing high in testosterone and low in estrogen. Kathy Hormones......... My 14 year old son can behave quite inappropriately sometimes (although the past 6 months he has been a little better and his current meds are also helping with that side of things (Sertraline) but from the age of about nine he would often fondle himself in public and also try to rub up against objects. I always encouraged him that touching himself is OK as long as he is in his room and alone. But it was a problem for a while and not something I have always been comfortable talking to doctors about. We saw him several times a few years ago, he hooked us up with Dr. Krigsman which in turn we were able to find out about Abby's colitis through him. I know it is very expensive. A lot of DAN's are.
