If you go to that website, you will see this listed: CMT 1A: PMP-22; 17p11 CMT 1B: P0 protein; 1q22 CMT 1C: LITAF; 16p13 CMT 1D: EGR2; 10q21 CMT 1E: P0 protein; 1q22 CMT 1F: Neurofilament light chain; 8p21 After each type of CMT listed above, it first describes the protein and then the gene where the mutation is found. There are 5 because it appears that CMT 1B and 1E have the same proteins and mutations on chromosomes. (I don't know why - this is just showing up this way) I am no geneticist, so consider your source here, lol. Wondering if you have spoken with a genetic counselor in all of this?
