Guest guest
I have found that about 300-325 mg is my limit of sodium per meal. It is like that is all my body can take at one time or something. Because if I have more than that amount I start feeling sick with more heart palpitations, short of breath, chest pressure, etc, etc. It is in my story in the files. I have to be very careful of what I'm eating. I do not add salt to anything and eat mostly fresh food and only a tiny amount of pkg food. I have had this problem since 2008 and I have endocrinologist appointment in March to find out if it is PA, thyroid problems -thyroid antibody creen and tumor marker high and still symptoms despite meds, or possible other endocrine issues. I had elevated aldosterone and low renin on my low salt diet too. Re: gaunt face I think just 2 servings sizes of the tuna would put you over the amount of salt you need. > > >>>>>>>>> > >>> > >>>>>>>>> > >>>> > >>>>>>>>> > >>> Do any of you also have a high cortisol and ACTH > > >>>>>>>>> level? Guest guest
Yes, I brought the totally unrefined sea salt thinking it would be better for me. Only problem is its course and hard to grind up, plus I don't know how much I'm using. This obviously is no good with such a small amount we can have during the day.So, I m looking gaunt do you think from too much salt - causing the constant peeing? I've been really craving it too nothing tastes the same without it..Okay 3/4 tsp a day from now, I need to be much more careful.ThanksSent using BlackBerry® from OrangeFrom: Clarence Grim <lowerbp2@...>Date: Tue, 23 Feb 2010 10:10:57 -0600<hyperaldosteronism >Subject: Re: Re: gaunt face tuna is 760 mg but need how much per can.1500 mg a day is about 3/4 tsp salt. you will have to read the sea salt label to get measurements. Guest guest
Yes, it sounds like it doesn't it:( There was a link someone posted last week to that ladies bloc/website. That made me think it must be even more. What's thrown me is having low bp readings but I must be doing this with my diet etc but not in a healthy way and worsening other symptoms.Maybe my oestrogen is low at times from this high protein low carb diet aswell. I have had very dark periods where I've just given up and eaten a normal diet and then I pull my self together and get back to the low carb diet again. That must affect my hormones in a big way.:)Sent using BlackBerry® from OrangeFrom: Clarence Grim <lowerbp2@...>Date: Tue, 23 Feb 2010 12:52:35 -0600<hyperaldosteronism >Subject: Re: Re: gaunt face In other words you have PA.Have you ever been of spironolactone?CE Grim MDOn Feb 23, 2010, at 12:10 PM, Stone wrote:I have found that about 300-325 mg is my limit of sodium per meal. Guest guest
Yes the small tin of tuna I had was: 0.42g, which is a lot then! I've just been measuring it out, was a bit confused before. Now I know why I was still never feeling better on the diet that I do and causing other symptoms.I am looking forward to dash if it works!
