JENSEN Citizen Staff Writer June 14, 2001 " You are what you eat, " was true even in Paleolithic times. By testing the bones of ancient humans, a research team that includes a University of Arizona archaeologist has found that fish dinners became commonplace in central Europe as early as 26,000 years ago. Before that time, people got their animal protein from big game such as deer, European bison and wild cattle. ~~~~~~~ And I wonder how raw or cooked they ate them....
