Guest guest
OoO has strong antifungal properties, so it could be a yeast die-off you are seeing. I am not familiar with high temperature following fungal die-off (has anybody else here heard of it?) - it sounds more like an antiviral reaction. There are some studies showing that it might be inhibiting herpes virus 1... Guest guest
Hi, is on oil of oregano but about the same time started SCD and one or two other gut interventions. Can’t help with what is causing the burping although it is often a sign of die off. is burping, passing wind and bloated frequently at the moment. Complains often of a sore tummy and wants it to be rubbed. I have started using activated charcoal and it certainly seems to be doing the trick for . If it is die off it might be worth a go. Guest guest
What's the toxicity of oregano oil taken orally? I tried to look it up but couldn't find anything. Guest guest
I've no idea what the toxicity is, but it seems there was no lasting damage to my son. He woke up this morning with no temperature and in great form. He had a great day at playschool. His fever only lasted a few hours and may not even have been related to the oregano. We're back on a w/end of DMSA tomorrow, but I'll be re-introducing the oil of oregano again next week. Hopefully, there won't be any dire side affects this time. I'm planning on alternate it with GSE. Hopefully that will help to sort out any bad bugs. > > What's the toxicity of oregano oil taken orally? Guest guest
Mandi, do you think it could be sth to do with bacteria (die-off?). Do you know if Candex works on other things apart from yeast? Asking 'cos ds had two episodes of very high fevers and faul moods, both were preceded by few days of giving him small amounts of Manuka honey- this is supposed to fight bacteria. But who knows, could have induced some immune system flare...
