Guest guest
Hey Pete, I am wondering if you know how long a person has to be on the chitosan and how much do they take. Also, isn't that something that binds fat and is used for weight loss? Thanks, Donna -----Original Message----- Hi Peggy, This is where I found the Lyme neurotoxin info. I was going to tell you about cholestyramine, but I didn't think you wanted to use pres. drugs. Anyway, chitosan works in just about exactly the same way. It passes through the intestine (not absorbed) and binds to the neurotoxins just like cholestyramine. I heard the M.D. at the at that Center is currently looking into chitosan as an alternative to cholestyramine. Best Wishes! Pete --
Guest guest
Hi Donna, I just starte it so I'm not an expert. Here is a link of someone eho has been using it for a while: http://hometown.aol.com/canynbugbarb/myhomepage/collection.html Here is what she wrote me in an e-mail: Some times, it seemed if I skipped even as little as 12 hours, my symptoms began returning. Other times, it didn't make much difference. I think it has to do with how much toxin is in your stomach acids and how much your body is actively producing. So if your toxin production is high your chitosan intake would have to be adjusted too. It is just trial and error. I used to take it four times a day. Now I take it once a day and skip sometimes. when i feel good. see what works for you. I asked her how much to take, but she forgot to tell me. I've been taking 2000 mg once per day and it seems to be working good, however, I also started taking oral h2o2 at the same time, so its hard to tell which one is helping. It is used for weight loss. That is the only reason why I am not aking it more than 1 time per day. I don't want to lose any weight. Hope this helps! Pete I would like to hear your experiences. \Barb > Hey Pete, I am wondering if you know how long a person has to be on the chitosan and how much do they take.
