Legal dilemma...need opinions!

As most of you know, I have a 17 year old son with moderate/severe non verbal autism and adhd. My problem is he will be 18 next month. It was suggested by his case manager that we get a Court Ordered Adult Guardianship of him because he will be 18 and considered an adult. The problem I am having is I have talked with 2 different lawyers about it and in order to do that, it will cost me 2500.00 to 3000.00, and I don't have that much money to do it. Does anyone know of any companies, agencies or anywhere that could help me or tell me what other options I have? Thank you so much. I totally appreciate it!
