Guest guest
I can sympathize with you, , I also have bilateral disease and therefore am not a candidate for surgery. We'll never be "cured" of PA but we can control our BP's with a MC receptor blocker and by DASHing. Men sometimes have trouble with the feminizing side-effects of spiro, have you tried Inspra? I'm not sure why your doctor put you on Amlodipine though, CC blockers generally don't work well on us. DASHing helped my nocturia to some degree but I still get up at least once and sometimes twice a night to pee and I'm still bothered by occasional night sweats. But believe me, there absolutely are worse things to have than PA. Good luck, a From: Walcott- <hwn_2001@...>Subject: RE: Why do we want salt?hyperaldosteronism Date: Thursday, January 14, 2010, 8:45 AM hello Dr Grimjust got back from Barts hosiptal, today they have confirmed Avs test show that both my Adrenals are producing adolestrone. they have told me that surgery to remove the adrenals is not an option, therefore they will increased my spirolactone and they have introduced Amolodipineis their anything else that can be done to cured me of this dreaded condition, the worst thing is the night sweats and the the constant peeing and all the side effects from the medication including low labido l think it is now impacting on my marriage.pls can you advise on the way forward.
