Guest guest
Hi Alison. Dr Van- at the Royal Homeopathic Hospital has autistic patients. As the hospital is a NHS one, you have to get a referal from your GP to see him. I have never heard of Adalian, but do you have any more details of her talk in London? Miles. Guest guest
Alison I saw Dr Van Rhijn at the Royal Homeopathic Hospital and he seemed well informed. He was trying to get Great Ormond Street to set up an ASD centre where one could go after diagnosis and get advice from all specialisms eg SaLT, OT, Nutrition etc. but he acknowledged that it was an uphill battle and after initial assessment there was not much the centre could offer in terms of delivering the plans in the commnunity. He also approached me about a documentary the BBC were making about parents going the alternative route with ASD..... I did not proceed with him at the time as going into London is very stressful and I was just starting other things like DAN! and had a Tribunal looming so it was a bit too much. He was very nice tho' and knew the nutrionist I was using at the time and said they had met at a ASD conference. The initial recommendations he made did not seem to change much but then as I say it was a stressful time so I was not very focussed HTH .david miles <awex@...> wrote: Hi Alison.Dr Van- at the Royal Homeopathic Hospital has autistic patients. Guest guest
I saw Danczak with a few years ago. I know the lady you mean, is it ok for me to post her name? Her son was almost fully recovered the last time I spoke to her. A different story for me, I'm afraid. During the first 3 months of treatment, certainly looked a lot healthier, his face looked pinker, he lost the dark circles under his eyes, he recognised the fact that he was low in zinc and magnesium and supplemented these and I was really pleased with his progress. After 3 months though, progress halted and he never made any further progress at all. I got put off him when he said that after a course of glucosamine, I can start letting have gluten again. He also saw my Mum, who had (and still does) ME, and he told her to ring work and tell them she'd be back in the New Year. This was years ago, and she is as bad as ever and retired from work through ill health. She said that his treatment made her feel worse and gave up on it. He doesn't do chelation, the only 'gut treatment' was Hylak, a homoeopathic probiotic and not a very good one, during the 2 years of treatment, his stool became normal for 2 days, something which never happened again until we saw Jean. He never did any testing other than a weird thing that he touched your finger with and it beeped if you were low in something, and it came up with zinc and magnesium. What ASD kid isn't though? He also did a hair test, that confirmed the low Zn and Mg. He doesn't follow the DAN! protocol, just his own I think. Sorry not to be of any help, Diane Re: Re: homoeopaths - London Forgot to mention that there was one lady on GFCFkids list that was extremely pleased with Dr Dranzck who is also listed as a DAN! practioner. Guest guest
I also use a homeopath in Swansea. Luke had been having recurring tummy bads - where he would scream and sream. Doctors and hospitals did nothing. Went to see Bill and within 3 months they had stopped from a remedy Bill had given him. Also have seen Luke suddenly leap forward after another remedy Bill gave him - not 100% convinved it was the remedy but I hadn't changed anything else at the time!! Guest guest
Hi! I would like to mention Dr Kenyon's name.A few years ago,I took my son to him.He is the Founder of British Acupunture Society.he spent many years in China as far as I heard. I was impressed of his treatment, I can not remember the computer programme which he was using for identifying what supplements my son needed, he was doing muscle testing, looking at the dried blood sample for candida as far as I remember. He gave us homeopathic supplements as well as some other brands.I know another lady carried on his treatment for years and she was very pleased with her child's progress. Her littler girl was very healthy the last time I saw her. Unfortunately I couldn't carry on because of the high cost. Guest guest
Hi Nicola, I'm in Gorseinon... Do you remember what remedy did the homeopath give? I'd be interested in knowing. That's super that it helped. I just love this homepathy as it's helped me on at least 5 occasions, twice with the Jack who had a really bad food reaction, a suspected gout in me, a migraine in a visiting child and twice with my daughter.... Guest guest
Homeopathy have never gained confidence in DAN, among other +/- effective treatments ( although there are a few DAN dr `s using homeopathic remedies) There is no scientific backing for using Homepathic remedies with Autism... so my advice would be to stick to DAN .... then you are more sure to get results for your efforts.. Guest guest
Hi Nevin We used Dr Kenyon a long time ago even before was diagnosed cos he had severe ezcema. He did clear up the ezcema but made more significant gains when we switched to a Doctor who used for formal blood testing to establish mineral/vitamin/fatty acid levels and optimise supplement regime. Guest guest
We also saw Dr Danczak with on shortly after he was diagnosed. He gave him magnesium, manganese and zinc to take and the hair test came back normal. He said not to bother with diet and not to go near chelation. I now look back and think he wasted precious time and that I was still in trusting doctor mode! He left the office in Manchester and was concentrating on Liverpool. He didn’t contact us to let us know where he had gone so we lost touch with him. Guest guest
Hi Zoe. Over the past couple of years we have used two different homeopaths. Unfortunately my son's epileptic seizures returned ( after being free of them for twelve years ) whilst we were doing a homeopathic anti- vaccination protocol. We are now seeing a medically qualified homeopath because of the seizure problem. Guest guest
---Hi Tina, A few supplements which drKenyon had recommended that time were very helpful. One of them was called'Brain Power@ which contained high level of Taurine and Ginko Biluba. On the second week of this supplement,my son made a spontaneous verbal statement which was beyond his expected cognitive level.I never forget this, there was a possbile strong link with this supplement and his behaviour,I'm sure. I'm pleased you had better results with a formal medical doctor.Whatever it works,we should pay attention, shouldn't we! Warmly nevin

Guest guest
Hi Nicola, I'm the one who spoke with your dad last autumn... W should get together sometime. At the moment I am trying to get my thesis under way as I have been stymied by severe health problems these last 1.5 years. Ironically I believe the root of my problems has to do with errant sulphur metabolism. My daughter is 12. She is not autistic but showed very severe ADHD at age 6. Comprehensive metabolic tests showed an aberrant sulphur metabolism EXACTLY like those with autism. She is doing GREAT now and one would hardly know she had any problems at all early on in life. We watch her food intake and she knows herself that certain foods send her "wonky" or giddy. How's your Dad? How wonderful to have someone in the family who understands chemistry. Count your lucky stars you have a supportive parent. My parents give me fulll support now only because they have seen the positive results of many years of research and implementation of such viv a vis my daughter. They have even consented to seeing my homeopath ( appointment next week-Welsh School of Homeopathy) which says a lot about their open-mindeness.
