Guest guest
There are many opposed to Wal*Mart, including me, my husband (well he may just be going along with me on this-he's funny; every time he sees Wal*Mart or Sam's Club he crosses his two index fingers and hisses. He may just be teasing me. . .), and many of my friends. I've been there a few times over the years, but in recent times, hardly ever. We used to buy gas at Sam's, but now we usually buy it at Costco (which does treat and pay their employees pretty well, though they do sell all the discounted/China-made products, contributing to USA job losses). I was glad to see Lou Dobbs of CNN yesterday bringing up the Wal*Mart issue and reporting on why. . . I am using sun tea jars purchased at K-Mart (now a part of Sears-or is Sears now a part of K-Mart? Go Martha;>) ). I'll have to look for replacement spouts pretty soon, I guess. Other than that, I'm happy with the size and shape of the ST jars-the one gallon size is pretty easy to handle. I'm still brewing more than I can drink at the moment-I had two gallons going for the last two batches. What I can't drink is getting put up in champagne bottles. I remember reading somewhere that one should stay at 2 oz per day for 6 months. At the time I thought that was way too conservative, but now I think it may be good advice, especially for those of us who have had long-standing health problems. I've only been drinking KT since around the first of this past August. This week I put all my SCOBYs in a starter pot and will let them rest there for a couple of weeks since I'm running out of champagne bottles. Having been sick with chronic fatigue/Lyme/candida for nearly 20 years, I'm pretty toxic, and my liver won't stand for much more than a couple of ounces per day. I'm a more-is-better type gal, so this is an exercise in less-is-more and patience for me. I do drink plenty of water, eat pretty well, and I do quite a bit of bowel cleansing, so I guess I just have to go slowly. -Dana Re: RE: Finding Jars " (I have not stepped inside a Wal-Mart and don't intend to, so I can't tell what they have or don't have) " ALRIGHT!! Guest guest
There are other stores you can buy things from. I use a big pickle jar. It costs me about 3 dollars and I like the pickles. I get them from wal-mart, but I do go to Big , Save a lot, and a little local store, It cost a dollar more but it is worth it.
