Yes You are so right Zoe.... But I guess the reason why we dont do anything is getting your own kid sorted is a pure nightmare and all thye other millions of things we do. Theres no fight or energy left for other stuff....

Tell the Paediatrician that you will have to go to the papers.... You want a second opinion..... Have you got the papers to hand that discuss autism and GI problems. The recent article by Krigsmans group shows that Wakefields work has been repeated, and the article from 2005 (Wakefield) in the European Journal of Gastroenterology shows that there is a greater amount of Lymphiod Nodular Hyperplasia in kids with autism than in kids being scoped for other reasons eg. colitis etc.

Very Important point:- All the times has had her abdomen felt and examined all doctors have always declared that it was OK when actually she had impaction. It is not bad practice to have an abdominal x-ray if a child will not be examined as now wont be it is essential.

Dont get angry show them the research and say that you want this done, ask them to refer you to Aberdeen they will do it. Has someone on this list had any success having a pelvic x-ray close to Oldham?? Ask for a referral to there, or to the Royal Free. You will get there just not easily.... What about going to Thoughtful House, I know the expense is crippling but we can raise the money honey!!

Poor you, its awful but it will improve.

Not much help I know, you are probably shouting at me via the computer by now.... But just thinking about you.

Love Caroline

I don't know whether it might help to send this paper to the GP and the paed and to ask them to read it.
