Guest guest
Hi, I have PA (non-tumor) and it is pretty much controlled with 25 mg Spironolactone and a Klor-Con M20 tablet daily. I have found that MSG really messes me up and causes muscle twitching, irregular heartbeat, anxiety, and my BP to go up 20 points. (from 108/65 average to 140/90)and it stays that way a few days. (I guess until it is out of my system) Question #1 : Does MSG / Glutamic acid (which is hard to avoid)impact blood potassium levels? Question #2 : Ibuprofen, My PA doctor told me not to take it (not sure why)but from what I understand it can block the MSG reaction. Question #3 : GABA suppliants, I am completely confused on the relationship between GABA and MSG issues. Would this be a good thing to take or not? I should ask if there are any unintended negatives. Question #4 : I was on prescription fish oil (LOVAZA) due to high triglycerides (over 600). This LOVAZA also caused muscle twitching and irregular heartbeat and I have discontinued using it. Is there any relation between high doses of Omega 3 and PA or does it have any similarities to MSG / Glutamic acid? Last Question: HFCS found in Sprite / Root Beer (non-caffeinated). Has anyone had any issues?
