I am pregnant w/ my second child and my new neurologist advised me against having an epidural when delivering. I had one for my first and it seemed to go fine. Anyone experience the same thing? With or without CMT, I think epidurals pose a risk, so why take a chance? Take a look at this website: http://www.healing-arts.org/mehl-madrona/mmepidural.htm . Guest guest Posted December 10, 2005 Report Share Posted December 10, 2005 Thanks for the replies! I have decided to talk to the anesthesia dept as well as my ob-gyn and neurologist. Luckily , I am very early in this pregnancy and can plan what course to take. After the last epidural, I did notice that it took my quite a while to get back on my feet due to the swelling etc.. Guest guest Posted December 10, 2005 Report Share Posted December 10, 2005 I had the prolonged duration with my first epidural. The second a few years later was to strong even at 1/2 stregnth. I felt like my whole body was falling asleep. A nurse stayed with me incase she needed to call a code blue. I couldn't open my eyes or talk. I had a hard time breathing. It was very scary. Guest guest Posted January 25, 2010 Report Share Posted January 25, 2010 I found that in the end of 2007 the pain meds had stop working. so it was very hard just to sleep, I ended up just using a magnet pulsar and a tens machine in 2008, and it seem to work better then the pain meds .
