Guest guest
, I have been thinking along the same lines, when I saw that research I posted earlier, it made me remember something. My father had a younger sister, who died when she was 4. No one every really talked about this, but her death was listed as pneumonia - which could have been true. (like this would have been in about 1925 or so) In later years, as an adult, one day my Mom and I were talking and she told me Dad's little sister, , had Down's Syndrome. I haven't spent much time looking into Downs (heck, I have all I can do with CMT, lol) but Down's is from an X linked inheritance, I think, and there is a type of CMT (or rather 3 types now of CMT) that are X linked. Since I have never been DNA tested for CMT, and since my EMG/NCV's, etc., are normal, and since I guess I am midly affected, sometimes I wonder if I just could have a Type of CMT X. Just my thoughts. ~ Gretchen
