Welcome Dan, and thanks for the introduction. Yes, by all means ask

your neurologist more questions. Ask him to explain your " normal " EMG.

My last one was also normal and showed some reinnervation (nerves

spontaneously rewiring themselves). This was interesting to me, since

this is indicative of one of the Type 2's of CMT. Unlike you, however,

I have no 'family history' of such things, even though my diagnosis of

CMT came very early in life.

Now there is a DNA blood test for about 12-14 types of CMT. You might

want to ask your doctor about this. CMT persons can have flat feet, and

some also have high arched feet. Also, symptoms can be so different

even in the same family.
