Hi Lois,

If I remember right it seems to me your son is near my sons age; my son is

17. He began his loud phase of life this past summer. I must admit it can

be a bit embarrassing to be with him out in public sometimes. In the grocery

store with my husband while waiting for the checkout to give out change, He

said very loudly, " Lets get the frick out of here. " I guess I should be

thankful he is at least not swearing!

He also this past summer likes to listen to music very loud though lately we

have been able to get him to turn it down. I was at a football game

watching my daughter play in the marching band and I did notice a lot of the

teenage boys were quite loud in the bleachers. I wonder if we are dealing

with some testosterone thing!

At school I think they are using picture social stories. Hopefully this is

just a phase for us. Sometimes I model whispering to see if he might do that

instead.

take care,

Sandy

just lately he is so loud. Talking ,music, T.V. Everything is loud!!

But there are day's that he tells me that something is to loud to

turn it down !! So Who knows what it's all about!! Maybe someone out

there will fiqure it out so we all don't loose our minds!! Peace
