Hi Barb,

Those DNA blood tests that I mentioned yesterday ARE NOW for Type 2 -

JUST S O M E of the Type 2's. Not all. More are being worked on. If

my 'story' is your 'story' LOL, but seriously, if you can relate, want

to know what I'd do if I was you?

Since I had just relocated to a new location, I'd find myself new

doctor/s. I'd get an appointment AND I would take a copy of my most

recent EMG/NCV. And get the new doc's opinion on the situation - you

can then ask her/him about ordering the DNA test - assuming you want it.

And of course this is just assuming you want to 'break in' a new

neurologist - BUT, I would at least suggest that since you have just

relocated your life, that you first find an Internist/GP, etc. Always

good to have a doc in place before you need one. That new Internist may

be able to reccommend the best neuro for you, or you can always go to

MDA there too.
