Guest guest
Poor Andy Wakefiled had Texan flu and no voice so he couldn't present but he did stay all day (looking like death) and tried his best to talk to parents. I spoke to him about coming over for the Treating Autism conference next year. I said we would have a contuingency plan in case Biran Deer turned up and my current thinking is that we should all have a brick in our briefcases and wop him on mass LOL - poor man nearly choked laughing at that one - set off a coughing fit! Arthur Kirgsman was good if a little long but I think he was trying to do AW presentation as well as his own - showed lots of photos from the pill cam - they are seeing the inflammation all the way through the tract as they orginally suspected. The Desumo clinic will be offering the pill cam and the results will go to Thoughtful House for interpretation there. Desumo is in Worcester. Don't know when or how much but Sharon spent time chatting to the lady from there so may have more news on that front. Jepson was very popular with some of my buddies, he was very easy to understand but made a few statements I thought were dodgy. Nigel is Isabella 's son - excellent heart rendering presentation about what its like to be the brother of two kids with ASD and severe bowel pain. Most everybody had wet eyes at the end of that. Isabella is planning to take on the MMR case without legal aid - she wants the evidence to come out in court or it will be lost forever - brave and determined lady! Carole somebody the epidemiologist was sick so she didn't come either. Shattock opened the proceedings and was classic , made us all giggle as usual Rosemary - well, I shall let others write about that one. I found her very irritating - saying she had information that people are getting full NHS funding for biomed and refusing to say who or where even afterwards grhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Lunch and coffee were superb, timing was all over the place Mandi x PS Our Steve now has flu from sitting next to Andy - but really, who better to catch it from LOL

Guest guest
What exactly did she mean by biomed though? The folks at AiA get there knickers in a twist at the mention of DAN! and tell you to discuss it off site. Guest guest
I find that hard to believe, who are these people? You would think we would have heard through the grapevine, from lists, Doctors etc. Is she sure? Vicky

I think they would have already told us by now. I may request somebody else from Treating Autism asks her officially again, explaining that we have at least 3 peeps at critical stage here and even the areas of the country would be helpful. My consultant has bottled out of taking it to PCT himself - I think he is scared they will ask him stuff he doesn;t know and requested the Dr H and do it ourselves. He is still supporting us though, O;d rather make the case my self - have already got them to agree to letting me present to the panel. Guest guest
She said that some folks had got the full DAN! protocol funded....and then she didnt say who, even when asked directly by our Sharon in person afterwards..........it would have been better not to say anything. Very unfair on people I thought. Zoe > > > In a message dated 10/03/2006 10:26:25 GMT Standard Time, m_d33@... > writes: > > What exactly did she mean by biomed though? Guest guest
I agree with you Vicky, it is hard to believe, as I'm sure we would have heard by other means, but I also don't think she would make it up......why would someone do that? Perhaps there are other peeps on the list who know Rosemary who could express our consternation and our desire for further information, in the interests of all those families who are fighting for PCT funding for biomed?
