Guest guest
Hi and welcome . Thanks so much for writing us your introduction. I can sure relate to the burning, hurting feet. I use different things at different times - I do take a medication for this which helps, but there are still days/times the 'burning' is felt more - how wierd is this - even when I am working out in the pool! So, I use Biofreeze, sometimes Arnica, in my garden I hold the cold hose over my feet, even in the winter, I use ice packs on my feet. I also keep a bottle of my body lotion in the fridge which is soothing for my feet too. You get fatigue is a major issue with CMT. This is how it was explained to me once: We are fatigued because CMT muscles work twice as hard to do half the work. While I do not have children, my friends Heidi, and Sally do, also many others here, and I'm certain they will jump in and perhaps give you some suggestions on pacing yourself and caring for your little ones. I would encourage you to be open, honest and frank with your husband on the CMT issues. , do not try to do everything. Your husband needs to learn about CMT so he can help you if/when you need it, and do not be afraid to ask for his help. Thanks again for introducing yourself - have a look through our site, Files, past messages, links, photos, polls, etc. I hope you find to be a very positive learning experience. ~ Gretchen
