Comfortably numb

I've been reading the posts from everyone regarding pain associated

with hammer toes, and of course I have read several mails down thru

the years where people talk about managing their pain with various

drugs. My question is this... how many of us have surface numbness

and to what degree? I never really hear anyone talk about the

sensation I have that my legs are numb about an inch or so deep from

the knees down. I had a Nerve Conduction Study done about 10 years

ago and the technician said I basically flat-lined it - meaning I

really had no reaction to the pins. Has anyone else had that

experience? Most nites I get nervous leg syndrome that I associate

with CMT. But it isn't painful. Actually, my lack of feeling pain

has caused me to end up with several nasty blisters and callouses

because I couldn't feel that the shoe was rubbing. I have never

experience nerve pain either - just a tingling sensation years ago

when I first started having symptons of CMT. But now that has even

left. I'm just interested to see if there are others of you like me.
