Would an old microve oven, wires removed, make good brewing cabinet?

You said you use the wooden bottom of an old microwave oven to brew in.

Could one try an old microwave cabinet with the door taped open a crack

to let in air and the cord to a heat rock?

I have almost reitired my old micro-convention oven because I don't

trust what it does to food. Others use it. I seldom do.
