Oh Mandi, totally delighted for you, I tell you used to gain the odd word and then lose it again, Iv'e noticed now when he gains a word he keeps it, so fingers crossed this is the start of meaningful verbal communication, infact everything crossed, dead exciting.

Great news Mandi! I find H is very responsive in the bath, also when lying down in my bed with the duvet over him.

In fact I was thinking of posting about a new "method" which I was thinking of patenting and charging lots of money to tell people about called "Bed Time". - great for eye contact, exploration of faces, turn-taking, singing etc.

Perhaps yours should be "Hot Tub Time." But you must first patent a particular design of Hot Tub and specify that no others would work...

OMG, in the hottub last night, he loves when I sing (Nobody else does) and was touching my chin and then signing please (he won't do the singing sign) - he wants more songs.

Then he is really really looking at me, I can tell he is thinking, so I say 'Buh' and bloody hell, he said BUH, shocked himeself was obvious to see as well as me, tried again after much fuss but no go.

I hope he reembers that he can do it. He did seem very shocked that the sound had come out of him. He makes sounds all the time BUT he knew this was different.
